Rescue
Today, we are thankful for Grandpas.
Being the awesome parents that "we" are ("we" meaning I), last night we lost Baby's most important toy... Tiger. Tiger being the one she can't sleep without, the one she was given by her Grandpa Anderson the day she was born, and the one she drags around with her everywhere. "We" ("we" meaning David) searched EVERYWHERE... upstairs, downstairs, in both cars, in the street... we even called Grandma Anderson to see if she happened to pick him up and take him home. No luck.
Meanwhile, imagine Baby standing in her crib, trying to take a nap this morning, and screaming "Tye-ga, tye-ga, tye-ga!" The three replacement tigers we found in her plethora of stuffed animals weren't doing ANY good.
In one last desperate hope, we called Grandpa Collier and asked him to drive down to Huntington to see if we just happened to leave Tiger at the play we saw last night. After searching the building, the lost and found, the sidewalk, and the parking lot, he MAGICALLY found Tiger a HALF MILE down the road in the middle of the street. WHAT?! He must have fallen out of the diaper bag when Raegan and I jay-walked from our parking spot to the building across the street. Stands to reason that the one time I jay-walk (which I am completely against), something like this would happen.
Grandpa "the hero" brought Tiger to our house tonight. Needless to say, after being driven over by who knows how many cars for at least twelve hours, he was a little thrashed. Not being sure if he was salvageable, we did a little surgery, removed Tiger's innards, and put him through the wash twice. David then took a pillow and replaced his stuffing. A few stitches to get him back together and he was better than new!
We are so grateful for Grandpa and his willingness to go out of his way to help his Granddaughter. It is another testament to us about how much love Raegan has in her world. Thank you so much, Grandpa, for being everything a Grandpa should be. We love you!
And Baby is now sleeping soundly, curled up with the love of her life. Disaster avoided.

Our Little Helper
Yesterday, David was working on our refinishing project when Rae walked outside, picked up the scrubber, and started helping to scrub off the paint with him all by herself. It was so cute!! She is such a good helper.

Grandma's 90th Birthday Party
Grandma turned 90 this September and Uncle Mike planned a fabulous surprise carnival for her. Every member of the family... kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and their spouses... were there except two. I don't think I have ever seen Grandma smile so much. We had such a great time and loved celebrating with Grandma! Bounce houses, cotton candy, clowns, balloons, family, late night milk shake runs, early morning hotel parties, cute kids... such a great weekend! Thanks for the excuse to have a party Grandma! We love you!

Happy Halloween!!!
We had such a fun Halloween with so many loved ones who came and visited!! Baby had her first sugar high and was bouncing off the walls and furniture (literally). I know there are a ton of pictures, but I couldn't pick between my favorites...

PS. Check out how crazy our neighborhood is.... watch the video on http://spamdrewfam.blogspot.com/2009/10/halloween-trains.html (we live next door... see our Jeep?!) The neighbors on the other side were up 'til midnight dancing in the street. We love it!!!
